CIHT is inviting members to apply for the opportunity to represent the Institution on four British Standards Institution (BSI) committees and contribute to the development of standards that shape the highways and transportation sector.
Membership of a BSI committee provides an opportunity to bring professional expertise and industry experience to the standards development process, helping to ensure that standards reflect current practice, emerging challenges and the needs of the sector.
Vacancies are available on the following four committees:
Members interested in getting involved can find out more about BSI committee membership, including what is involved and the expectations of committee members here.
Members interested in representing CIHT on one of the four committees should first apply to CIHT. Following consideration of applications, CIHT will select candidates and confirm which members it is willing to nominate.
Successful candidates will then be able to submit their nomination through the BSI application process. Please note that members must be nominated by CIHT to represent the Institution; applying directly to BSI does not constitute representation of CIHT.
Please apply to CIHT here.
By participating in BSI committees, CIHT members can help shape standards that support good practice, innovation and consistency across the highways and transportation sector.
If you are a CIHT member on a BSI committee but not already representing CIHT, please do get in touch.
