Representatives from CIHT recently joined industry leaders, practitioners and inclusion specialists for a series of roundtable discussions organised by Women in Transport and FM Conway, a CIHT Strategic Partner. The discussions informed a new joint whitepaper launched this week at Highways UK.

The perspectives shared through these discussions, together with responses to a sector-wide survey, were among the inputs considered in the development of the joint white paper Navigating Allyship in the Transport & Construction Industry, which explores experiences of allyship across the sector and sets out a range of observations and practical considerations for organisations.
Alongside industry perspectives, the publication shares practical examples, suggestions and reflections, as well as highlighting areas where further discussion, learning and action may be needed to support meaningful and sustained progress across the transport and construction sectors.
By engaging in initiatives such as this, the Institution is helping to shape sector-wide thinking on equality, diversity and inclusion - bringing expertise into conversations that influence future policy, practice and workforce culture.
