CIHT Scotland Dinner - Top Table guestsThe formal part of the evening included speeches from CIHT Scotland Chair, Kelvin Clarke, CIHT President Martin Tugwell and guest appearance by Stuart Mitchell, one of Scotland’s finest young comedians. [Top Table guests pictured right].

Earlier that day the President visited Queen Street Station and the Sauchiehall Street streetscape improvements, the pilot scheme for the City’s Avenues project. Martin said, “…delighted to have had the chance to see how CIHT Scotland members are providing leadership in delivering transformational projects in Glasgow”.

CIHT Scotland would like to thank Jacobs and SYSTRA for their sponsorship of these awards and AECOM for sponsoring the Young Professional Table. The President also presented Graeme Smith and Amy Phillips with CIHT merit awards for their service to the Institution.

Charity collections on the evening for CIHT Scotland and Scotland Association for Mental Health (SAMH) totalled more than £2,000 and we would like to thank all that contributed.

Beyond the formalities, the dinner is always an opportunity to meet old friends and make new acquaintances and if success was measured by the chat and laughter in the room then it clearly was a successful evening! Without the support of our members there would not be a dinner and the Scotland Committee is grateful to all who were there to contribute to another successful evening. We look forward to seeing you again in 2020!
