The last year has seen the newly Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation achieve an increase in the number of members gaining professional qualifications.
Statistics released by the Engineering Council show that CIHT has increased its number of CENG and IENG registrants by 12.53%. This compares well with the overall average that has seen a fall of 1.7%.
CIHT continues to outperform other institutions in its registration of female Chartered Engineers. 26% of CIHT’s members who became a Chartered Engineer in 2009 were female, compared with only 12% across all Engineering Council registrants.
