Session 4, 'US Transport Agenda – Policy, Progams, Politics', with Jeff Paniati, Chief Executive Officer, Institute of Transportation Engineers, examined some of the below points:

  • The impacts of a new Administration on the Transport Agenda and the challenges for this new Administration
  • Joe Biden's $2 trillion infrastructure plan, of which a third is related to transportation investment
  • The challenges faced to try and bring people back to mass transit.
  • The impact of Covid on active travel and if there is likely to be more accommodation of walking and cycling and the creation of connected places.
