The last 12 months have been one that has been full of successes and achievements for us at CIHT. You can find out more about many of these here.
Even since we put this 2022 highlights list together we have done more including the release this week of our newly published policy piece ‘Fixing a failing planning and transport system’.
More policy pieces including ones looking at Green and Blue Infrastructure, EV chargepoints, Skills, Sustainable Transport, Mobility and Road Safety.
Research papers supported by our Partnership Networks and Technical Champions on Procurement, AI and Reducing Transport Emissions.
Continuing Professional Development Guidance for members – that will explain how you can achieve your CPD goals.
A Transport Decarbonisation Pathway – giving members a structured framework to fulfilling climate action related CPD goals.
Playback the results and actions relating to the 2022 Membership Survey.
Run the CIHT Awards 2023 with two new categories – CIHT Streets Award and CIHT Sustainability Award.
Offer more opportunities for members to become professionally qualified in CEng, IEng, EngTech and CTPP.
Respond to upcoming consultations including ‘The Road Investment Strategy 3’ and ‘The Revised National Planning Policy Framework’.
Publish our Employment Trends Survey and Report to help the strategic development of the sector.
We will also share the thoughts and expertise of those in the sector by producing six webinars, blogs and podcasts that take an in-depth view on the following themes:
More details are already available, but we will run over 150 events in 2023. These will include the Emerging Professionals Summit, Supporting the World Road Congress in Prague and much more.
All this work will contribute to the goals in our Strategy 2022+ and will have the importance of Climate Action, Professionalism and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion weaved throughout them.
