Experienced highway engineers, transport planners, and civil and structural professionals are invited to a series of recruitment events next week to hear about a wide range of opportunities on offer at Parsons Brinckerhoff.
The consultant will be hosting three separate events across the south of England, starting in Bristol at the Hilton Double Tree hotel from 5pm on Tuesday 12 November.
The next event will take place at the British Library, near King’s Cross station in London, at 5pm on Wednesday 13th. The team will then move to Guildford on Thursday 14th, for the final event at 5pm in the town’s Radisson Blu Edwardian hotel.
Each event will feature presentations from senior company representatives about the opportunities on offer, and each event will also offer networking opportunities, food and drinks.
Parsons Brinckerhoff transport planning regional associate Will Chung said professionals at all levels are welcome to attend: “We are looking for high calibre individuals who are keen to embrace new challenges in their careers. The company held a very successful recruitment event in Cardiff a few weeks ago and we anticipate that the events next week will be just as popular.”
Part of the reason for the recruitment drive now is that the company has recently noticed an upturn in work and is keen to fulfil its new commitments. It continues to work closely with Transport for London on commissions of all sizes, having been closely involved with many aspects of transport delivery for the Olympic and Paralympic Games last summer.
Parsons Brinckerhoff is also deeply involved in the UK rail sector, with high profile commissions for Network Rail and High Speed 2, and is delivering transport planning services for the Crossrail 2 project, as well as for sustainable travel initiatives such as cycling.
The consultant’s previous recruitment evening in Cardiff at the end of September attracted dozens of delegates and several hundred enquiries asking after job opportunities. Highways regional director for Wales Russell Bennett said that a substantial number of individuals have been offered roles as a direct result of the recruitment event, with more to follow.
Parsons Brinckerhoff is part of the Balfour Beatty Group and is active across the world in countries including Australia, America and Canada. In the UK, it is a multi disciplinary consultant with a transportation turnover of £90M and over 900 transport staff, up a quarter on last year. It is among the top 10 consultants in planning, roads, rail, airports and urban transport according to the 2013 Transportation Consultants Directory.
