Overall responsibility for the Department

John Hayes - Minister of State for Transport
•    transport legislation and Parliamentary liaison and coordination
•    transport skills

Jesse Norman - Parliamentary Under Secretary of State
Responsible for:
•    buses
•    cycling and walking policy
•    Highways England and strategic roads
•    local roads policy and funding
•    road safety
•    transport and the environment
•    transport technology (including digital)

Paul Maynard - Parliamentary Under Secretary of State
•    accessibility across all modes of transport
•    HS2 policy and legislation
•    Rail
•    smart ticketing

Lord Callanan - Parliamentary Under Secretary of State
•    aviation
•    corporate issues for the department
•    international transport
•    transport legislation in the Lords
•    transport security
