DfT has released figures for personal injury accidents on Great Britains public roads in 2012.

The overal number of people killed in road accidents report to the police has dropped by 8%.

However, the number of pedal cyclists killed rose by 10% and the number seriously injured rose by 4%.
This is the 8th year in a row that the number of seriously injured cyclists casualties has increased.
