With a career encompassing all forms of transport, Dr Kit Mitchell is somewhat of a 'renaissance man' when it comes to transport. With a passion for addressing access issues for people with disabilities and advising on Disability Rights, Kit has acted as a visiting expert on many international research campaigns and also received the William G Bell Award from TRB.

Kit is a member of both the CIHT Diversity Panel and the Transport Policy Board and is a celebrated technical autor. Having produced numerous technical documents over the years, on a variety of topics, he recently jointly produced the CIHT 'Climate Change & Sustainable Transport' document.

Formerly of TRL Limited and now an independant consultant, Kit is an active member of the transportation community and has dedicated much time and support to CIHT, for which CIHT are very grateful.   

CIHT has awarded Dr. Kit Mitchell with a Certificate of Merit, which recognises his exceptionally high commitment and contribution to the Institution.
