Sue Percy, CIHT Chief Executive met with Eric Pickles, Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government at the RTPI’s Summer Reception on the 26 June.

Sue took the opportunity to raise with the Minister the importance of transport for economic recovery, sustainable communities and social inclusion.  Further discussion was held on the need for improved working relationships between transport and planning professionals.

CIHT will be looking to develop our political engagement over the coming months.
