CIHT hosted a HMEP Procurement Options Project client workshop on Tuesday 26 June 2012.

Stephen Child and Keith Fountain of the CIHT Procurement and Delivery Panel took a group of Highway Authorities through the progress made so far on Work Package 1 ‘Procurement Route Choices’.  Attendee’s views were sought on the draft framework, and ideas on how to improve the package from a user’s perspective.

Once complete the final interactive web based Toolkit will then link up with other the works packages to assist Highway Authorities to procure in the right way.

Stephen Child explained ‘Procurement Route Choices is not designed to make the decision for you, but to give Highway Authorities options to help guide them towards the final decision’.
