In March, CIHT hosted an event to understand how to create a resilient network.  With recent events again testing the resilience of the UK's transport network this seminar explored what the current situation is and delegates discussed where the future of resilience is going.  It included a focus on how to communicate with customers and how to manage expectations. There was also a very interesting insight given into security issues and how best to handle these.

The afternoon was spent in workshops examining three questions.  Delegate were asked to consider:
•    What do people have to deal with currently and what are the challenges?
•    How do we communicate with customers, how do we manage expectations?
•    How resilient will the network be in 30 years’ time?
