The IHT Foundation has approved funding for Rwanda Aid, an organisation that provides support for the most needy and vulnerable people of Rwanda. The funding will be used to improve the condition of the existing road to Mwagera, thereby providing reliable access for the construction of 6 new school classrooms, whilst developing road building skills in the local community. The current road to the rural community is along an unmade track, over 5km long, which becomes impassable for motorised transport under heavy rain conditions. In order to provide a reliable access for vehicles, road improvement works are essential.

The IHT Foundation has been created to receive charitable donations from collections and other appeals to distribute to educational activities and innovative projects. The Foundation welcomes proposals from initiatives that advance the art and science of highways and transportation.
