The IHT in co-operation with MVA and Mouchel have won a DfT contract to undertake a series of Training Seminars to disseminate knowledge on the recent DfT document , Delivering Travel Plans through the Planning Process.

Ensuring that these travel plans are reliable, robust, effective and delivering modal shift away from private car usage is not only essential to the development sector, but with increasing budget pressures on government bodies and local authorities, it is also essential to the delivery of an effective transport system, that will aid and reinvigorate industry and the economy in the coming years.

During March 2010 three regional seminars will be run, possible locations will be Liverpool, Nottingham and Exeter. Delegate places will be free. Further information will be available shortly on the IHT website and in the Jan/Feb edition of Transport professional.
