At the Annual Luncheon on 12 December 08, IHT was presented with the Prince Michael International Road Safety Award (PMIRSA) for  'commitment to safety over a number of years'. The prestigious award was presented by Adrian Walsh, Director of Roadsafe, which organises the PMIRSA.

Mr Walsh commented:
"This is a long overdue award in the view of the judges for a lot of good work, including the IHT Collision Prevention & Reduction (CPR) Guidelines."

The IHT CPR guidelines were updated in 2007 to integrate latest methods and best practice advice for designing roads for safety and launched a series of technical seminars by IHT in relation to the new guidance.

Please see our IHT Publications for more information about the CPR Guidelines
