Kit Mitchell's technical article is now available in the IHT Members’ Lounge.  In the November edition of Transportation Professional, Kit detailed how global demand for oil cannot be satisfied for ever without price rises, and production output could soon be peaking.  The implications for transport policy need to be carefully considered and he calls for members to ensure that the resilience of plans and investments to significantly increased price of fuel and to possible disruption of supply is always considered.  Kit calls for the possibility of peak oil occurring within the next 15 years to be more generally known, and its consequences assessed.
