The ceremony at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms near Covent Garden was hosted by President Andreas Markides and television personality Julia Bradbury. Fifteen awards were presented on the night, in addition to a CIHT Award recognising an overall winner, which went to Carnell Support Services and Kier Highways for a mobile road worker protection system known as SAFETYcam.
CIHT received over 150 entries to the awards this year and the event featured a new ‘Creating Better Places’ award. A detailed report on the CIHT Awards 2018 is included in the June issue of Transportation Professional which arrives on desks this week.
