The Institution is a key supporter of the show which starts at the NEC on Wednesday.

Highlights from the CIHT Theatre on the first day are set to include a panel discussion led by Lynda Addison on the new Better Planning, Better Transport, Better Places advice and a lunch time session on the changing face of the engineer.

President Martin Tugwell will also give an address on his theme ‘Shaping Tomorrow Today’, before participating in a debate in the main theatre the following day to explore progress towards a Highways Sector Deal.

For those attending the CIHT Theatre on the second day, Urban Design Panel chair Peter Dickinson will give an update on Manual for Streets and a panel discussion led by Past President Matthew Lugg will explore improving local highways.

CIHT Award winners will also feature in the theatre over the two days and there will be opportunities to hear about CIHT membership, qualifications and professional development.

A further highlight from the event will see CIHT’s director of policy and technical affairs Andrew Hugill give the Institution’s perspective on future infrastructure and mobility in a main theatre session on the first day.

Andrew Hugill described the show as the key highways sector event for the year. “There are plenty of opportunities to come and talk to us and we look forward to seeing lots of friendly faces.”
