This year’s theme for International Women in Engineering Day 2025 is ‘Together we engineer’ – presenting the opportunity to promote the work that women engineers across the globe are doing, uncover personal stories and visions for the future.
We spoke to Libby her journey, career path and for her advice for people interested in entering the profession and getting involved with SoRSA.

You have the chance to change someone else’s life by showing them what they could achieve
Libby began her Road Safety Investigation/Road Safety Auditing life in 1989 when she joined Hertfordshire County Council, working with Dick Rainbird, who many consider to be the ’Grandfather’ of Road Safety Auditing.
Libby retired from full time employment in 2016 and now works as an Independent Auditor. Libby was elected as the SoRSA Chair at the 2025 Annual Conference last week, returning for her second term as Chair.
