Asset Manager Strategy

37 hours per week

£39,798 - £53,738 per annum

Economy, Transport and Environment is at the forefront of making sure Cambridgeshire is open for business. This new role is based within the newly formed Assets and Commissioning Service and provides an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual looking to lead and develop a team.

With the ability to drive culture change within an organisation you will directly support the Head of Service in delivering a new Asset Management approach to the Authority’s Transport and Waste Services. 

You will lead, develop and manage the County’s Transport and Waste Assets ensuring that prioritisation and spending decisions are taken on an evidence basis with reliable predictive information. You will have experience in identifying, providing, delivering and implementing effective Transport and Waste Asset Management strategies for Local Authorities and be able to develop those strategies with appropriate change control processes. You will have experience in communicating the benefits of effective asset management to enable elected members, other managers, staff, partners and customers to understand and contribute to the context and direction of the service.

You will have an understanding of how to manage the needs of a diverse set of stakeholders and an understanding of the complexities of local government and the matters affecting it. You will work in collaboration with other managers and key stakeholders to support the Head of Service in the identification of future requirements, forward and business planning by providing timely professional and managerial advice on all aspects of Asset Management and on wider service and corporate developments.
