Transport Planner

Salary: £21,000 - £29,000 pa

About the role

You’ll provide support to the Development Planning/Strategic Modelling teams based in Woking and Manchester whilst acting as Project Manager as required. You’ll assist in solving complex modelling problems, preparing high quality technical notes and reports and preparing Transport Assessments and Travel Plans as well as preparing other technical reports as necessary.

About you

You’ll have a first degree whilst an MSc in Transport Planning is desirable although not essential. Working towards professional status, you’ll be proficient in Word and Excel and will ideally understand/have experience of Macros. A selection of the following skills/experience is also essential: Familiarity with DMRB requirements; Traffic Data Analysis; Tempro; Matrix Building; SATURN; Masterplanning; Transport Assessment; Travel Planning and Smarter Choices; Planning Policies; Street and Place design eg; Manual for Streets; Junction Modelling (LinSig, Transyt, ARCADY, PICADY) MapInfo; Conceptual junction and highway Design; Cost Benefit Analysis (COBA, QUADRO, INCA); GIS.
