Transportation Planning: St Albans: Senior Consultant and Principal Consultant - AECOM

Our Transport Planning teams plan and evaluate future transport schemes, forecast demand and revenue, develop business cases, undertake economic appraisal and market analysis, as well as look at the relationships between spatial planning and transport. We undertake transport modelling at a national and regional level through to detailed micro-simulation where individual roads, public transport systems and crowd movements are analysed.

The roles involve working as part of highly skilled and motivated project teams developing new methods and new models for assessment and evaluation of schemes and policies. You will need a proven analytical background in transport planning and modelling with experience in software such as SATURN, EMME; VISUM; Cube Voyager; Paramics and VISSIM. Responsibility for managing tasks or projects and taking ownership of project delivery will also be part of the role.

We are also actively looking for a transport planning professional with pedestrian flow analysis and crowd modelling capabilities. It is likely you will have 5+ years experience of working in pedestrian flow and modelling studies and have experience in the related pedestrian modelling software such as LEGION, PEDROUTE, VISWALK etc. Experience in other related areas of Transport Planning and Modelling and Project/ Client and People Management skills are desirable but not essential.

Development Planning in London and St Albans: we seek a number of candidates - AECOM

We have a number of openings in our growing Development Planning teams in London and St Albans, where we serve clients in both the public and private sector, providing a variety of transport related consultancy skills to the real estate market.

In London we specifically seek a well rounded candidate to lead our team focused on the London, South East and European property and real estate markets. Our ideal candidate will have the broad range of skills and experience necessary to successfully steer complex built environment projects through the transport planning process, liaising with others with different skill sets across either our wider business or externally and to win and deliver work in this market. We also seek senior team members to support this role.

In St Albans we seek a number of junior candidates to work within our development planning and engineering teams, supporting senior team members on a wide variety of projects primarily in the south east of England but also internationally. A broad skill base in development planning and / or  engineering is desirable, however we will consider well motivated candidates in the earlier stages of their careers who can demonstrate enthusiasm and flair.
