CIVIL/HIGHWAY/INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER

Hitchin, Hertfordshire

Stomor Limited are a small but growing Civil Engineering Consultancy based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, inviting applications from Civil/Highway/Infrastructure Engineers, or Technicians with several years’ experience to work closely with their existing team of engineers in a variety of projects within the UK.

Ideally, candidates will be Chartered, Incorporated or Technician members of the ICE or CIHT.  However, we will also consider candidates seeking to obtain membership in the near future.  Candidates should have as a minimum:

• A degree in civil engineering or similar.
• Reasonable AutoCAD skills (3D not necessary).
• Good written and verbal communication skills.  Ability to use Word and Excel.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to use own initiative.
• Commitment to continued professional development.
• Willingness to adapt to a variety of challenges.
• You will work on a variety of development projects with responsibility for:
• Production of design drawings.
• Preparation of, or contribution to technical reports, including Transport Assessments and Flood Risk Assessments depending upon experience.
• Liaison with internal and external Design Teams, Clients and Contractors as appropriate.
• Attendance on site when necessary.

It would be helpful if candidates also have knowledge or experience in one or more of the following:

• Estate Road Design 
• Green Travel Plans, 
• Drainage Design including SuDS, 
• Microdrainage, PDS, SignPro, Autoturn, ARCADY, PICADY.

This is a permanent position for which salary and terms are negotiable dependent upon experience.
