CIHT is establishing a new Highways Resilience and Response Forum, bringing together professionals interested in strengthening the resilience of local highway networks and services to our changing climate.
The Forum follows the publication of the Highways Resilience and Adaptation Toolkit, a suite of practical guidance designed to help local highway authorities adapt their infrastructure and services to a changing climate and prepare for and respond to disruption caused by flooding, extreme heat, wildfires and other climate hazards.
Following a very positive response to the guidance, the new Forum will provide a space to support its practical application and learn from the experience of those using it.
