Friday 17th October 2014 saw the 4th joint Thames & Chilterns and Southern Dinner Dance at the Newbury Hilton Centre hotel. In attendance were CIHT President David Gibby and his wife Viv, as well as Chief Executive Sue Percy and her husband Peter.

The night was a great success; attended by over 150 members of the CIHT and their guests. In addition to the usual dinner, speeches and disco, this year's event also included a quiz, raffle and a number of presentations. These included recognition of David Hunter’s retirement from the Thames and Chilterns Branch Committee, Brian Balchin’s retirement as auditor of the Thames and Chilterns accounts, the presentation of a Certificate of Merit to Andrew Maclean, secretary of the Southern Branch, and finally presentation of flowers to Shirley Maclean and Emily White.
