140618_#Journeys_224CIHT launches its #Journeys campaign this week, which sees members share stories about how the Institution can help highways and transportation professionals go further and faster in their careers.

The aim of the campaign is to inspire individuals to sign up to the Institution by demonstrating how CIHT can strengthen and widen their professional networks and aid career development.

The first five stories being promoted by the #Journeys campaign are those of David Ubaka (pictured), Emily White, Andrew Moseley, Deborah Sims and Luke Meechan.

All five of these members’ stories are available to read at ciht.org.uk/journeys

CIHT is encouraging its members to spread the word about the Institution among their professional networks as part of its #Journeys 'Member Get Member' campaign, using the incentive of a £50 Amazon voucher for those who introduce a friend or colleague.

The Institution is also encouraging current members to share their own #Journeys describing how CIHT helped their careers go further, quicker. Members can do this by emailing stories to journeys@ciht.org.uk or by posting them to Twitter with the hashtag #Journeys. Chosen stories will then be added to the website.

CIHT said in a statement: “Every time you recruit a new member, you strengthen CIHT. An active and growing membership means greater recognition of highways and transportation professionals, a better network for professional knowledge and skills, networking opportunities for members, and the advancement of the profession. Share these valuable opportunities with your colleagues, and our professional body will strengthen even more.

“And visit our Recruit Resources page, which includes handy tips, talking points and marketing material to help you recruit members like you.”

CIHT is promoting the campaign via email, the homepage of its website ciht.org.uk and through twitter.com/CIHTUK
