Merger comes into effect to create Transport Infrastructure Ireland

From the 1 August the National Roads Authority (NRA) and the Railway Procurement Agency (RPA) will merge to become Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII).

From the 1 August the National Roads Authority (NRA) and the Railway Procurement Agency (RPA) will merge to become Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII). TII will retain all the existing functions of the NRA and the RPA and the newly created agency will stay within the Department of Transport and the National Transport Authority (NTA). 
Michael Nolan, previously of NRA, has been appointed as TII’s first Chief Executive.
