Smaller consultants are coming to the fore with more specialist firms now competing alongside larger companies. This is one of several observations made as Transportation Professional collates the annual ‘Transportation Consultants Directory’, which publishes at the end of June.
Anecdotal evidence points to road safety and road tolling being among the most popular areas of specialism for consultants with no more than a handful of staff. And it appears that several senior executives of large firms have recently left to set up their own, much smaller practices to focus on delivering what they do best.
It would appear that the market is changing and they could benefit by raising their specialist profile alongside the larger broad disciplinary consultants.
If you have set up a new company offering a bespoke consultancy service it is not too late to include your firm’s details in this year’s Transportation Consultants Directory by way of a small editorial ‘Practice Profile’.
Practice Profiles are designed for consultants that want to run something other than a traditional advertisement. They consist of 75 words of text and include an image, logo and company contact details. The cost is £350. If this is of interest, please contact Transportation Professional’s commercial director Sally Devine on 01474 833871 or email sally@transportation-mag.com
The Transportation Consultants Directory is a useful document that details all the major transportation consultants currently operating in the UK. Its comprehensive format means that the directory is retained for reference throughout the year.
