Why members join CIHT Council?
Nicola Blaney – Current Council Member, Trustee and CIHT Scotland’s Vice Chair
“Being able to help steer the Institution’s position on the big issues for our sector is what I find most enjoyable about being on Council. It’s not a particularly huge commitment but it offers a massive learning and development opportunity. The Council is comprised of likeminded individuals from across all aspects of the industry who are genuinely invested in the progression of our sector for the benefit of society. Discussions at Council provide a valuable opportunity to take lessons learned and new perspectives back to members’ day to day roles. Being on Council allows you to take a step back and think about where your work sits within the wider picture,”
Martin Tugwell, President, CIHT said:
“The transport profession is fundamentally all about people: whether you are involved in maintaining our existing assets, delivering new investment on the ground, or developing proposals for the future, each and every member of our profession is helping shape tomorrow today.“
“By joining CIHT’s Council, you can gain real insight into how the Institution and the wider sector works and allows you to contribute to debate, shape policy and network with colleagues at a high level”
