North East & Cumbria Papers Competiton 2016 - Open for Submissions
Do you have a great highways and transport topic we should hear about? Do you want to present it to an audience of fellow transport professionals and potential employers? Do you want to potentually win a cash prize? Are you aged 35 or under?
If it's a yes to the above then our Papers Competition is for you - a fantastic opportunity to get yourself noticed in the regional highways and transport community, gain valuable experience in presentation and communication skills, and lots of CPD hours.
Submissions for papers are now open and, at this stage, only require an abstract. To take part, or for further information, please e?mail

• Your Name
• Occupation (including Students)
• An abstract of your chosen topic (250 word maximum)
All submissions must be entered by Monday 15th February. Successful entrants will be notified w/c Monday 22nd February and invited to present their topic at the Papers evening on Wednesday 9th March at the Northern Stage, Newcastle. Presentations should last no longer than 15 minutes, including time for questions. All presented papers will be judged by an independent panel of CIHT members, with the winner awarded a cash prize. All entrants must be 35 or under on the evening of the presentation. The winner will have the opportunity to present at the Colas National Awards, to be held in London in 2017.
