The CIHT has an ongoing agreement with VicRoads, Australia, to assist with their graduate Career Break Scheme that encourages gaining experience working for transportation organisations overseas. Under the scheme the graduates can take can take a Career Break for up to 12 months, and during that time they are on leave without pay from VicRoads. Should the graduates take up a position the UK during this time, it would be that particular organisation that would provide the salary.
