The University of the West of England, on behalf of Public Health England (PHE), are circulating a new survey on spatial planning for public health, and are interested in the views of transport professionals.
In 2016 Public Health England published Spatial Planning for Health, a resource providing public health planners and local communities with evidence informed principles for designing healthy places. Since then a team including researchers based at the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol) and University College London (UCL) have been commissioned by PHE to undertake a piece of research exploring the challenges and opportunities associated with applying the evidence-based principles set out in the Spatial Planning for Health resource at a local level.
The ultimate aim is to identify how the Spatial Planning for Health resource and other existing guidance might be developed and improved for use at the local level.
