CIHT are commissioning research into training needs in the Highways & Transportation sector.

One of CIHT’s key roles is to support its members’ professional development needs. To this end, the Institution is seeking to establish the current position with regard to the availability and suitability of:

1.1       Initial training – in-company training schemes for new entrants (for example, apprenticeships and graduate training schemes)

1.2       CPD - technical and managerial update training for practicing members.

This 6-month research project will establish training currently being provided, where there are gaps in training provision, and recommend how these gaps could be filled by CIHT.
