CIHT are pleased to be a supporter of Road Safety Week. Road Safety is a key theme for CIHT and we are at the forefront of improving road safety across the highways and transportation sector.

 

Speed is a contributor in most road safety accidents and CIHT supports initiatives that look to reduce or regulate speeds across the highway network. Through reducing speed, the associated energy involved is also reduced by an acute factor. Any measures that could reduce this speed will by implication potentially reduce the level of casualties we see on the highway network. 

 

CIHT will be looking to highlight the importance of road safety throughout a number of initiatives in 2018.
