The Road Safety Foundation is seeking CIHT members help with Case Study Evidence for a research project they are undertaking. 

The Road Safety Foundation is undertaking a research project assisted with funding from the RAC Foundation and the Rees Jeffreys Road Fund. The purpose of the research is to gather an evidence base to prove that a Safe Road Infrastructure Programme, targetting high-risk routes with effective and affordable road safety engineering countermeasures, is an economically viable use of scarce Government resources.

One element of the research work is gathering Case Study Evidence. Technical journalists will be engaged to write up examples of well evaluated Safe Road Infrastructure Programmes demonstrating high rates of return and effective casualty reduction. Evidence will be drawn from the real-world in consultation with local authorities and emergency services, and be presented in a magazine-style capable of inclusion in technical and professional publications.

The Road Safety Foundation would like your assistance in identifying good examples of Road Safety Programmes and the contact details of a technical officer (in the appropriate local authority) that our journalists can contact.
