Scott Wilson has been appointed by St Helens Council to develop a micro-simulation traffic model of the A58 (Park Road / Blackbrook Road / Stanley Bank Way) running between the town centre and the A580 East Lancashire Road.  The route is one of eleven corridors within Merseyside identified for congestion monitoring as part of the Merseyside Congestion Indicator included within the Merseyside LTP and subsequent Merseyside Congestion Target Delivery Plan.

The model will be developed using VISSIM software and will be used to test various traffic management, bus priority, parking and junction improvement measures.
