Scott Wilson's Transport Consultancy team has won the role of preparing the Transport Strategy for Shepway District Council. Our transport experts will work with the District Council, Kent County Council and the Highways Agency to consider the existing transport environment in Shepway and the relationship this has with forthcoming planning policy.

Shepway District Council is currently preparing its Core Strategy, which is the lead document for the Local Development Framework. Scott Wilson's role in preparing the Transport Strategy for the district will involve the establishment of a robust evidence base for the Core Strategy and the allocation of development sites, with the aim of shaping the future direction of the district. A key focus of the Transport Strategy will be on promoting sustainable travel choice and linking this with over-riding climate change policies.
