CIHT's Apprentice and Young Professional(YP) of the Year Awards celebrate the achievements of apprentices and YP's who work in the highways and transportation sector, and the organisations that put them at the heart of their business.

CIHT received dozens of applications for the 2022 awards, which came from some of the best and brightest within the sector. It was challenging to shortlist only ten finalists from the outstanding applications and CIHT would like to thank all those who made applications and those who contributed to their development.

The 5 shortlisted Apprentices are:

• Alisa Ahmad, Civil Engineering Site Management Apprentice, BAM Nuttall
• Holly Crabb, Civil Engineering Apprentice, WSP
• Jacob Cook, Transport Planning Apprentice, Stantec
• Joe McGilley Civil Engineering Apprentice, AECOM
• Sam Lovett Civil Engineering Apprentice, WSP

The 5 shortlisted Young Professionals are: 

• Charlotte White, Graduate Engineer, Octavius Infrastructure Limited 
• Dagmara Stachelek, Consultant, AECOM
• Fiona Bebbington, Graduate Engineer, AECOM
• Molly Hoggard, Transport Planner, Mott MacDonald
• Muhammad Ikram, Bitumen Technologist, FM Conway
