Fadzil Ismail of TfL has recently become the 300th member of SoRSA.  Fadzil’s application for Member status of the Society was successful and he was presented with a Commemorative Membership Certificate by the President of CIHT, David Gibby, at a special ceremony on the 20th October 2014.

Fadzil commented that ‘he was very pleased that his application for membership was successful and excited to be the 300th member of the Society’. In congratulating Fadzil, Andrew Coventry, his manager at TfL said ‘Transport for London understands the importance of being a member of SoRSA and considers Fadzil to be an asset to their team due to his experience and knowledge.’

Fadzil graduated in Civil Engineering from University in 1997 and subsequently worked for Waltham Forest, Mouchel and a consultancy in Malaysia prior to joining TfL.  His current role means that he is heavily involved in TfL’s removal of pedestrian guardrail project and the development and delivery of innovative schemes, junction safety schemes and junction improvement schemes.  He also undertakes Road Safety Audits, usually as the Team Leader, on a wide range of schemes across London.

Alan Rookes, Chairman of SoRSA, offered Fadzil his congratulations and added that SoRSA was continuing to expand its membership, along with developing its role as the ‘home’ for Road Safety Auditors in the UK and beyond.
