CIHT attended and answered almost 200 queries at Traffex last week. They ranged from enquiries about membership to helping people get started with professional qualifications or finding a mentor.
We spoke on a number of topics over the three day event – CIHT Chief Executive, Sue Percy, discussed new approaches to fund the roads of the future and how to make best use of people and resources. CIHT President, Steve Rowsell, spoke about what the highways industry can learn from the strategies being delivered in the rail sector. Andrew Hugill, CIHT Director of Policy & Technical Affairs, looked at the future of shared space projects in the UK. And two of last year’s CIHT Award winners, A-one+ and Clearview Intelligence, shared their best practice on the final day.
CIHT also launched its National Young Professionals’ Network (NYPN) which will give young professionals the ability to come together and discuss key issues and initiatives on a national level. For more information on National Young Professionals’ Network,
