CIHT today welcomes publication of the Government Industrial Strategy for Construction to 2025, launched this morning at the Government Construction Summit.

This is a joint government and industry strategy to ensure that the UK construction sector is in the best possible position to take advantage of the growth opportunities in the global construction market, which is forecast to grow by over 70%, by 2025.

As part of its Industrial Strategy policy, the Government is building long-term partnerships with sectors that can deliver significant growth. Britain has world-class expertise in construction and this document sets out clear and defined aspirations and a vision for long-term strategic action by government and industry, to promote the success of the sector.

CIHT will be reviewing this strategy and providing more comment in due course.
