Welcome to the New South East Region,
 
My name is Bob Pizzey and on the 21st May at the first Annual General Meeting (AGM) I was elected Chair of the new South East Region for CIHT. A committee was selected and elections held for key posts at the AGM.
 
The committee is looking forward to helping the region in the development of our new identity, support the membership by providing an interesting and accessible programme of events and supporting Sue in her presidency of CIHT during 2015/16. We aim to join the 3 old branches into a cohesive region that shares best practice, focuses on young people for professional development and integrates local authorities, Local Enterprise Partnerships and the private sector to maximise the benefits of the significant investment in infrastructure within the South East of England.
 
Our new website went live on Monday 1st June - http://www.ciht.org.uk/en/branches/uk-branches/south-east/index.cfm - and we’ll be updating the site with regional information throughout the summer, in particular publishing a full and diverse programme of evening technical meetings and social events.
