Deborah Sims, CIHT Vice President and Senior Lecturer Civil Engineering, Department of Engineering Science, Faculty of Engineering and Science, University of Greenwich will be taking part in the Women in Transport Autumn Reception on Thursday 27 September held at Arup’s London offices. This year’s theme is: ‘Are we nearly there yet? How far have we travelled on the road to gender parity?’ Women in Transport is a not-for-profit body. Sue Stevens, CIHT’s Director of Education & Membership, who also attending the event, commented: “Gender parity is one of the areas that our Diversity & Inclusion Panel is focusing on. Although it receives a lot of media attention, progress seems very slow. We are keen to work with employers and organisations such as WTS to accelerate the rate of change so that we can start to see significant improvements in this very important area.” For more info see here
