Being an active member ensures that you get the most out of your CIHT membership.

Active membership:

  • Provides you with opportunities for personal and professional development;
  • Brings you into contact with other energetic and committed volunteers who work in your area;
  • Allows you to contribute to the success of your professional institution.

We are recruiting members to join the following boards/panels for the 2025/26 term:

  • Appian Trading Board
  • Membership and Member Services Strategy Board
  • Learned Society and Technical Strategy Board
  • Educations and Professional Development Strategy Board
  • CPD Panel

All boards meet 3 times per year (October, February and April/June) and we welcome current CIHT members. The time commitment for CPD panel members is approximately 15 hours per year and we are looking for professional qualified members - IEng and CEng in particular.

If you are interested in becoming a board/panel member, contact our Governance team on governance@ciht.org.uk
