Gordon Lai Ming LEUNG

Dr. Gordon Leung has over eighteen years' experience in the civil, highway and geotechnical engineering industry in Hong Kong. 

Dr. Gordon Leung has over eighteen years' experience in the civil, highway and geotechnical engineering industry in Hong Kong. He is a teaching fellow with THEi and adjunct assistant professor of the Hong Kong Chu Hai College of Higher Education. He is the Secretary General of the Hong Kong Road Research Laboratory and also visiting academic of a number of institutions such as Monash and Curtin Universities in Australia. He is chartered member of various professional institutions and a fellow of the London Geological Society. Previously, he worked with Ove Arup & Partners before joining the academic field. Dr. Leung's research interests are in the areas of pavement geotechnics, unbound materials and accelerated pavement testings. In the past, he also played a key role on the establishment of a number of specifications and the new Guidance Notes on Road Markings (GN 036) for Highways Department in Hong Kong.

Mr. Simon CHAN is currently the Associate Director in Mannings (Asia) Consultants Limited. In the past years, he has been involved in design and construction of wide spectrum of public and private projects in highways, buildings, civil and hydraulic aspects. Mr. CHAN is now responsible for planning, design and construction of Tai O Improvement Works Phase 1 and Phase 2 Stage 2, and Provision of Universal Access Facilities amongst various districts in New Territories. Mr. CHAN’s vision is to enhance the connectivity of public society with civil engineering bodies to ensure harmonized city development.

Mr. Paul HE is a Principal Traffic Engineer in MVA with over 8 years' experience in traffic engineering and transport planning and had participated in a wide variety of traffic and transport related projects in Hong Kong and Mainland China.

He has good experience in projects of various natures, such as Master Layout Planning (MLP) for large scale mixed-use developments, Traffic Impact Assessment (TIA) for new developments and Temporary Traffic Management (TTM).

Prof. Alan WG Wong

Professor Wong is the founder and chairman of the Hong Kong Road Research Laboratory (HKRRL). He has over thirty years' academic and practical experience in the field of highway and transportation

Professor Wong is the founder and chairman of the Hong Kong Road Research Laboratory (HKRRL). He has over thirty years' academic and practical experience in the field of highway and transportation engineering. Currently, he is the professor of the Faculty of Science and Technology of the Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi), in charge of programme and project development. In March 2014, he successfully helped the Institute to establish the “BRICS TSE Specialized Portfolios Engineering Investment and Management International Training Center”. The training conducted in this center will be recognized and certified by the United Nations. Professor Wong, apart from having supervised a large number of highway research projects ranging from MPhil and PhD to high level consultancy and industrial funded projects, he has also contributed significantly to the establishment of numerous design specifications, design standards, and codes of practice in the field of highway/pavement engineering in Hong Kong.

Raymond W M TANG

 After 35 years’ service in the HK Government, working in Architectural Services Department (last as senior project manager ArchSD) and in Development Bureau, Raymond recently joined HK Airport Authority in May 2015, working on the third runway project. Formerly Raymond was HonSecretary of CIHT HK Branch till 2008/09, and also served as the Hon Secretary of HKIE Structural Division.

Prof. S.C. Wong is Chair Professor of Department of Civil Engineering and Associate Dean of Faculty of Engineering at the University of Hong Kong.

Prof. S.C. Wong is Chair Professor of Department of Civil Engineering and Associate Dean of Faculty of Engineering at the University of Hong Kong. He was Chairman of CIHT(HKB), President of CILTHK, and Council Member (Co-opt) of HKIE, and is currently Vice-President of HKSTS, Council Member of CILTHK, and Deputy Chairman of the Logistics and Transportation Discipline Advisory Panel of HKIE. He is member of the Construction Industry Council, and director of the Hong Kong Green Building Council. Professor Wong is a Justice of the Peace, Vice-Chairman of the Town Planning Board, member of the Advisory Council on the Environment, and member of the Road Safety Research Committee of the HKSAR Government. He was member of Transport Advisory Committee from 2004-2010 and Harbour-front Enhancement Committee from 2007-2010. He also served as a member of the Tuen Mun Road Traffic Incident Independent Expert Panel in 2003, and a member the Expert Panel on Sustainable Transport Planning and Central - Wan Chai Bypass in 2005. In 2015, he was awarded the Bronze Bauhinia Star from the HKSAR Government.

Tony has over 15-year experience in research and teaching in Hong Kong, New Zealand and the Netherlands. He delivered various levels of lectures of civil and transportation engineering related subjects. Tony's research interests are traffic safety, driver behavior, and transport policy. He has over 100 research outputs including international journals, conference proceedings, and technical reports.

Tony is an assistant professor at the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Tony has over 15-year experience in research and teaching in Hong Kong, New Zealand and the Netherlands. He delivered various levels of lectures of civil and transportation engineering related subjects. Tony's research interests are traffic safety, driver behavior, and transport policy. He has over 100 research outputs including international journals, conference proceedings, and technical reports. Tony is currently an associate editor of Accident Analysis and Prevention and editorial board members of five international journals. He had experience in consultancy service for the Transport Department and the Independent Review Committee on Hong Kong's Franchised Bus Service of Hong Kong SAR Government. Tony is also a member of the Road Safety Research Committee of Road Safety Council in Hong Kong.

Raymond Pau is a Technical Director in AECOM Asia Company Ltd. with 20 years’ experience in the design, tendering, project management and construction management of civil engineering projects in Hong Kong.  He has extensive experience in the design of bridges of various forms, including precast segmental, precast U-beam and in-situ span-by-span methods.  Since year 2010, he has been involved in major infrastructure projects in Hong Kong including Central Wan-chai Bypass and Island Eastern Corridor Link, Liantang Heung Yuen Wai Boundary Crossing Facilities, P282 Terminal 2 Expansion and Tseung Kwan O-Lam Tin Tunnel. 

 

Raymond Pau is a Technical Director in AECOM Asia Company Ltd. with 20 years’ experience in the design, tendering, project management and construction management of civil engineering projects in Hong Kong.  He has extensive experience in the design of bridges of various forms, including precast segmental, precast U-beam and in-situ span-by-span methods.  Since year 2010, he has been involved in major infrastructure projects in Hong Kong including Central Wan-chai Bypass and Island Eastern Corridor Link, Liantang Heung Yuen Wai Boundary Crossing Facilities, P282 Terminal 2 Expansion and Tseung Kwan O-Lam Tin Tunnel.  Lately, he was in charge of the Cross Bay Link project which comprises a 200m span eternity arch and marine viaducts across Junk Bay and responsible for tender documentation of Fanling Bypass Eastern Section project using NEC3 conditions of contract. He is an accredited NEC3 & NEC4 Project Manager.

He is currently the Hong Kong Employee Engagement Champion of AECOM Asia Company Ltd. overseeing staff benefits, employee engagement activities under different Business Lines and leisure / sports / community services subcommittees and sport teams.

Terence is Chartered Engineer in Mott Macdonald Limited with over 14 years' experience in civil and structural engineering projects with diverse responsibilities. These include inspection of highway structures and preparation of inspection reports; traffic sign drawings; taking-off calculations; reinforced concrete (RC) detailed drawings and bending schedules; contract administration.

Terence is Chartered Engineer in Mott Macdonald Limited with over 14 years' experience in civil and structural engineering projects with diverse responsibilities. These include inspection of highway structures and preparation of inspection reports; traffic sign drawings; taking-off calculations; reinforced concrete (RC) detailed drawings and bending schedules; contract administration; supervising contractor in carrying out water leakage rectification work, liaising with government departments and private parties on site handover arrangements and reviewing temporary traffic arrangements on carriageway for manhole inspection.
