Long-standing volunteer and role model with Reach Society - A member of the Friendship Network. Previously served as a union representative, school governor chair and swimming club deputy secretary. Committed to promoting diversity in the justice system. Lukman counts himself very lucky to have spent part of his life in Nigeria before returning to his birthplace in the UK.

Graham is passionate about applying systems thinking approaches to tricky transport challenges through developing multi-disciplinary advice.

He brings a strategic and well-rounded view of the sector through a multi-faceted career in public service, an executive role at a leading worldwide consultancy, ongoing engagement with industry bodies, policy lead for the premier industry membership group, and continuing professional development as a planner and a geographer.

With a local government background, she works with street works organisations and highway authorities to ensure geospatial data is recognised and used to make efficiencies in the planning and execution of works. From using the National Street Gazetteer dataset and associated street data to building a map of buried assets across England Wales and Northern Ireland in the form of NUAR, membership of CIHT enables her to build the profile of GeoPlace’ activity in the wider transportation sector.  

Adnan is currently working for Arup’s infrastructure team in the UK. 

He moved to the United Kingdom after finishing his M.Eng. from New Zealand and has been awarded the Distinguished Graduate Award 2022 for his exceptional work in the fields of carbon sequestration, sustainable infrastructure development, and integrated blue-green infrastructure. He has a budding interest in reducing embodied carbon from infrastructure, especially highways.

Adnan is a member of CIHT and previously served as a council member in 2021 before joining the regional committee in 2023. He has represented the CIHT Diversity and Inclusion Panel under the council and worked on the preparation of the EDI strategy and "Shifting the Dial" action plan.

Adnan started as a graduate engineer with WSP for the Highways UK team and was later promoted to engineer within development infrastructure, delivering both private and public sector clients within the UK. He is currently undertaking projects including Goodwood Estate Regeneration and West Slope Residencies for the University of Sussex within Arup Infrastructure and managing a team of graduate engineers, apprentices, and technicians. Adnan enjoys collaborative work with diverse teams and has the technical ability and pragmatism to lead challenging projects.

Deborah is the Academic Lead for Civil Engineering at MKCTS Ltd providing Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes to the RSME at Brompton. Her role includes course design and delivery for Royal Engineers under training to become Chartered Engineers.

Deborah is a Past President and Trustee of CIHT and sits on Council and the Education & Professional Development Strategy Board. She represents CIHT on the JBM and is a Professional Reviewer and Mentor, having reviewed over 100 CEng and IEng candidates.

Deborah is a STEM Ambassador and chaired the Careers Guidance Steering Group for the CIHT, developing materials for use in schools and colleges to encourage young people to consider careers in the built environment. She is a Trustee and Vice Chair of Chatham Maritime Trust and the Living River Foundation. Deborah enjoys walking, birdwatching, and listening to Bob Dylan in her spare time.

Kerry is particularly passionate about bringing forward the next generation of professionals, particularly women, to work in this dynamic and critical industry.

In particular, transport has a key role to play in addressing our Net Zero challenges so ensuring we have the right people and talent has never been more important.

Kerry particularly enjoys dealing with the challenge of high-profile infrastructure projects in complex and politically-charged environments as demonstrated through her senior roles on HS2, Crossrail, airport expansion projects, the expansion of London’s Ultra Low Emission Zone and is currently Consultant Programme Director for Cambridge’s ambitious road user charging scheme. Kerry is a STEM ambassador and a mentor for several WSP early career professionals.
