Five ways to recommend and strengthen the CIHT community

1. Send your own message

Your enthusiasm and knowledge of CIHT is the most powerful message to potential members. Applying to be a member is simple and hassle free.  Below are some links and content which may help.  Scroll down for;

  • Useful links
  • Cut and paste emails
  • Examples of what you get as a member

2. Make it known that you would be happy to recommend a colleague

We have made it a simple process for you and your colleagues.  Associate or Member grades don't need to find a proposer or seconder. We will help you find a proposer if you wish to become a Fellow.

Being a Proposer or Seconder is easy and only takes a few minutes

When your colleague is applying please inform them of your member grade and your member number.  Plus provide them with a short statement written by you (min 100 and max 200 words) about their suitability for membership to support their application.

3. Share Your CIHT Story on Social Media

Are you active on social media? Use your voice to help grow our professional community. Tell your network in the highways and transport sector why you’re proud to be part of CIHT – and encourage them to join today.

Help your peers become part of a forward-thinking network that’s shaping the future of transport and infrastructure.

Your message carries real influence — and when it comes from you, it’s authentic, trusted, and inspiring.

Need a little inspiration? Check out our social media post ideas below and start spreading the word today!
