Are you interested in volunteering to become a CIHT STEM Ambassador? Would you like to know more about CIHT’s Careers Toolkit and inspire the next generation into the exciting range of transport careers?
CIHT Yorkshire and the Humber are holding a joint CIHT STEM Ambassador event with STEM Learning in Leeds City Centre on Monday 21 May.
This event provides an opportunity to meet with active members of the CIHT Yorkshire and Humber Committee and Young Professionals Group, and to hear more about how you can play a key role in engaging future generations of transport professionals!
Becca has led the network at STEM Learning for the last four years. This includes leading Teacher development through 46 Science Learning Partnerships and student enrichment and inspiration activities through 19 STEM Ambassador Hubs. The network works with 20,000 teachers and 30,000 STEM Ambassador volunteers impacting annually on over 4 million young people.
She started her career working in secondary schools across Yorkshire. She has 24 years' experience as a chemistry teacher, head of science and senior leader with a specialism in workforce development and leadership. Becca is keen to support schools in challenging circumstances and has herself worked in Bradford, Oldham and Leeds.
