For any CIHT Members wishing to attend the West Midlands Annual General Meeting (AGM), this will take place prior to the Awards Dinner from 5:30pm - 6:15pm. The AGM will be held in the Diamond Suite at the Burlington Hotel.
For any guests who are not attending the AGM, please arrive at 6.45pm.
5:30pm - 6:15pm: CIHT West Midlands Annual General Meeting 2022 (all voting CIHT Members welcome to join).
6:45pm: Arrival of guests for the West Midlands Awards Dinner.
7:30pm: All guests to be seated.
7:40pm: Dinner to be served.

If you would like to attend the West Midlands AGM but do not wish to attend the CIHT West Midlands Awards Dinner as well, (which is being held on the same evening), please book your place for the AGM via the separate AGM event page here.
Charity Raffle
In addition to our awards ceremony this year we will be holding a raffle to support the Birmingham Children’s Hospital charity (www.bch.org.uk).
Tickets for the charity raffle will be sold at the awards ceremony and dinner on 12 May with all proceeds of the charity raffle being donated to the Birmingham Children’s Hospital charity. If you are able to donate a gift to include in our charity raffle please contact: westmidlands@ciht.org.uk

A key part of our annual dinner is recognising and celebrating the achievements across our region. We were accepting nominations for six categories this year and we will announce the winners at the Dinner.
Awards Categories:
Individual projects (over £5 million) that are outstanding examples of transportation or highway projects, demonstrating they have been delivered on time, to budget and made a major contribution to the West Midlands.
Individual projects (less than £5 million) that are outstanding examples of transportation or highway projects, demonstrating they have been delivered on time, to budget and made a major contribution locally.
Examples of excellence in collaborative team work and problem solving in the highways and transportation industry in the West Midlands.
This Award is open to CIHT Members including Apprentices, Graduates, entry level professionals and those early in their career/career change professionals, with less than 10 years relevant experience who are making a valuable contribution to highways or transportation in the West Midlands and establishing themselves as a positive role model for the industry.
Examples of excellence in environment and sustainability in the highways and transportation industry in the West Midlands.
Examples of innovative problem solving in the highways and transportation industry in the West Midlands.

Join us for the 2022 CIHT West Midlands Annual General Meeting. This will be held in-person at the Diamond Suite of the Burlington Hotel at 5:30pm - 6:15pm.
We invite all voting CIHT members of the region to join us.
The AGM offers us an opportunity to reflect on the past year and look forward to the next. It also provides an opportunity for CIHT members to hear about and get involved in the North East & Cumbria region’s activities.
The AGM will see the region’s Chair reflect on the past year and the successes of the region. The AGM will see the election of new committee members and will also see the appointment of the Chair and Officers to take forward the region’s plans for the next year.

There are lots of benefits of getting involved with your local committee; CIHT’s regions and nations play a critical role for the Institution, acting as a focal point for members to meet and share their experiences locally.
